Revise - Cold Place, Warm Tale

A short film I did back in 2010:

There are only 2 characters, and I have spend a considerable time with the main female character as seen below:

From when I created her back from an Action Analysis assignment, to reshaping her for senior thesis, this main female character caused me some time to finalize. Even after all that effort, there's really no necessity in which her name should be mentioned, so everyone I showed this film to just calls her "the girl".

So for future sake, I have named her "Sofia" just to remind myself the boundaries of the film's settings.

The monster is inspired by skifree's "abominable snow monster", but its comedic look is definitely not for my film.

I only regret the time I cannot make for when my thesis draft is being reviewed by a studio because I am occupied by work, but the man who reviewed it was generous enough to send in some suggestion. Build from that suggestion, here's another animation test:

But my professor is right: to actually make a film beyond this is very tough. So to make margin for correcting the film before Animation Showcase, so I made this:

As a joke: one reason behind making the long dress for her is to avoid complications with he legs, like a certain anime. I am still proud that aside from the animation, I am able to find time to refine BG designs, but there's always more room for improvement.

Hopefully I can remake this film for a lengthier feature like what Tim Burton did with "9".
